Canons

Canons at Aparecium are a bit different. Being that the year is 2062, we are just far enough away from the main characters we are familiar with so that gives us quite a bit of creative control. While we encourage original characters, there are also a few canon families that you can select to be a part of. Just a few minor things to read first before you choose a canon character:

• If you are the first person to claim a canon character as a parent, you have control over that immediate family. I.e. you can choose Scorpius Malfoy as a father, and have him married to an OC. You would then get to decide first the family history but if someone comes along and wants to create a sibling of your character, they will just require giving you the heads up. Staff will monitor family sizes as necessary.
• Canon characters could have adopted or had children biologically. There are no rules here!
• You can either pick a canon character that married another canon character or an original character.
• These canon adults are up for grabs are are playable.
• Blood status will be denoted next to the character. i.e. hb = Halfblood, pb = Pureblood

Furthermore, there are also last names that you can claim that were never specifically noted as having named children, but likely did have children that attended school with the above. If you do not see a canon name on this list, that does not mean it isn't available. Remember, if you create a character with any of the following last names they will be grandchildren of said characters, unless you are playing their child - which would require a character to be older than 50. Check with staff if you have any questions.
