Timeline

1998: The Second Wizarding War ends, marking a new era of peace for the wizarding world & Kingsley Shacklebolt is named the Minister of Magic.

2014: Harry Potter is made Head of the Auror Office.

2017: Albus Potter attends his first year of school with his siblings and cousins.

2020: Hermione Granger-Weasley is made Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement.

2024: James Potter and his cousins graduate from Hogwarts.

2025: Kingsley Shacklebolt retires as Minister of Magic. Pamona Waverly, a halfblood, is elected as his successor.

2033: The number of protests for the equal rights of other magical races begin to rise; the Minister faces pressure from both sides. It is clear there are still those out there who believe wizards are superior to other magical races, even within the Ministry.

2056: The London Bridge collapses mysteriously. There are rumblings that wizards are behind it, but no definitive proof. However, a Squib that was witness to the attack tries to tell the Muggle authorities it was wizards... one can guess how that went. Harry Potter retires as Head of the Auror Office.

2058: The Squib that was witness to the attack in 2056 continues to spread the word of what they saw and somehow evades capture and obliviation from wizard authorities.

2060: There has still been no official laws put into place to protect other magical races, though they are widely more accepted by very many people and organizations than they were in the 1990's. There still exists those in power who would do whatever they can to go back to the old ways. There are many wizarding activist groups who work to fight this, however.

2061: An attack on the London British Museum is linked to the London Bridge attack years prior. Evidence is found to implicate wizards explicitly and it is dubbed the first targeted attack on Muggles in 63 years. The Squib's ramblings reach the ears of a small group of wizard hunters.

2062: Pamona Waverly retires. A new Minister is elected with, unbeknownst to them, a corrupt group around them. Wizard hunters are on the hunt and the Statue of Secrecy appears to be on the brink of being repealed as well as the rights of magical races being further stripped away.
